Is there is a difference between therapy and coaching?
You bet there is!
Coaching can achieve effective results using evidence based science and personalization in a short amount of time. Recovery does take time, but trauma coaching is usually done over a shorter time span than therapy. Coaching allows you to experience actual results in your quality of life that you can notice in shorter amounts of time than traditional talk therapy. Trauma coaching is also different than Life or other types of coaching because a trauma coach does take into account past traumas and how they have affected their clients in their present day. Other types of coaching look only at the present day/future with clients and don't identify the root of how a client's experience has been coloured by their past trauma(s).
As a coach I educate my clients about:
- the effects of trauma on your body and mind.
- the neuroscience of trauma.
- somatic work
- alternate modalities that may be helpful, whilst normalizing your reality.
- relay how healing occurs & utilize S.M.A.R.T goals for specific growth.
In the past I have helped clients with:
- Low Self-Esteem & Low Self-Worth
-Those wanting to recover from codependency.
-Those healing from abuse.
-Those healing from having a relationship with an addict.
- Those battling various mental health illnesses.
- Those dealing with unhealed childhood trauma.
I look forward to connecting with you.
*As a coach I do not diagnose or prescribe medication. Coaching is not therapy, counselling, advice giving, mental healthcare or treatment of substance abuse or any addictive behaviour. If you are suffering undiagnosed depression, anxiety or suicidal ideation, then working with a therapist and psychiatrist is necessary.*
